He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Lee, Sr. and Mary Beatrice Gore Gilliam; his son James Paul Gilliam, Jr.; and his siblings, Joe Lee Gilliam and Nell Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Cordell Gilliam; his children, Cindy Glazier (Gary) of Kosciusko and Joseph Sean Gilliam (Tammy) of Pelahatchie; his daughter-in-law Laurie Gilliam Bowman; and his brothers, Billy Gilliam (Betty) of Monticello, AR, Bobby Gilliam of Redfield, AR, Harvey Gilliam Jr. (Judy) of Lake Village, AR and Cecil Gilliam of Lake Village. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
