He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Hall Barfield and Ethel Lee Dobbs Barfield; his wife Ruby May Squires Barfield; his son Kenneth Wayne Barfield; and his siblings, Norman Barfield and Delores Barfield.

He is survived by: his son Tony Eugene Barfield of Pearl; his nieces, Jeralyn Perkins of Forest and Earlene Trest of Morton; and his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Waggoner of Forest and Dennis Squires of Forest. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
