He was predeceased by: his wife Beatrice Thompson; and his daughter Carole. He is survived by: his children, Michael Thompson, Patricia Wilson and Tammy Thornton. He is also survived by grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and 9 great-grand children, grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-grand children.
