He was predeceased by: his parents, Maggie Bell Garth Grenn and Opie C. Grenn, Sr.; his siblings, Dorothy Grenn Mueller and Edward Grenn; and his daughter Emily Grenn Gray.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Ford Grenn; his daughter Elizabeth Grenn Franklin (Mark); his son-in-law Buddy Gray; his grandchildren, Alexandra Claire Franklin (Sam O'Hana), John Ford Franklin (Nicole), Joshua Creed Franklin (Olivia), Richard Spencer Gray (Kelsey) and Mary Elizabeth Gray Braggs (Eli); his great grandchildren, Amelia Rivers Franklin, Luke Hartwell Franklin, John Foster Franklin and Eleanor Antonia O'Hana Franklin; and his siblings, George Grenn, Margaret Grenn Kern and Adah Grenn Van. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
