He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Edward "Peck" Vaughan and Agnes Verlyn Smith Vaughan. He is survived by: his wife Paula Vaughn; his children, Mitchell Vaughn, Jr. (Rhonda) and Michele Summerlin (Jimbo); his siblings, Tim Vaughan (Robin), Billy Vaughn (Nancy) and Chris Maddox (Roger); his grandchildren, Daniele Smith (Caleb), Chelsea Smith, Sean Vaughn and Katelynn Harvey (Darieo); and his great grandchildren, Arianna, Kiya Harvey, Edward Smith and Eleanor.
