John Hunt Obituary

The memory of John Hunt (Pearl, Mississippi), who passed away on June 18, 2024 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Hunt and Jessie Hunt; and his brother Don Hunt. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Hunt; his children, Shawn Hunt and Greg Hunt; his granddaughters, Monica Peco and Elizabeth Kohler; and his sisters, Monica Carter and Marg Eisner. He is also survived by his four great-grandchildren.

His legacy of inspiring young minds and his contributions to global education will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to one of his favorite charities: MD Anderson, Water.org, or the Mississippi College STEM Program.
