In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Joe had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Joe may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel "Dan" E. Holmes and Elizabeth Holmes (Hobbs); and his wife Patsy Jane Holmes (Boyd). He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Phillips (Mike), Nancy Moore (Steve), Patti Stedman (Kevin) and Jody Holmes. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other dear extended family members, as well as several close friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home (3780 US-80, Pearl, MS 39208). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Tylertown City Cemetery.
