He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lee Gaskin and Harriet Loraine Turman Gaskin; his stepparents, Inge Gaskin and James Saylors; and his siblings, Charles L. "Chuck" Gaskin, Jr. and Lora Galvin.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Gaskin; his children, Chris Gaskin (Heather), Cindy Sessions (Roddy) and Mary Phariss (Shane); his siblings, James Saylors, Jr. (Angie), Angelica Smith (Robert) and Manuela Melton (David); and his grandchildren, Hannah Grace Gaskin, Sarah Gaskin, Paisley Sessions, Bella Sessions, Philip Phariss, Raelyn Phariss, Spencer Phariss and Dawson Phariss.
