It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Robert Perkett of Pass Christian, Mississippi, who passed away on February 4, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbra Gail Herrick (Mother) and George Richard Perkett (Father); his stepparents, Charles "Chick" Herrick and Rose Perkett; and his son-in-law Donnie Chapman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Becky Meints (Jim), Wendy Perkett and Robyn Vermillion (Doug); his grandchildren, Ashley Wade (Meghan), Justin Wade, Alysha Pitman (Henry), Garrett Warden, Chella Vermillion and Jasper Vermillion; and his great grandchildren, Levi Pitman, Truly Pitman, Cohen Dupree and Madison Anderson.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home (15452 Oneal Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Biloxi National Cemetery (400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS 39531).
