He was predeceased by: his parents, Ory Fontaine and Lydia La Fontaine; his siblings, LeRoy La Fontaine, Ruth Ann Pacek and Jeannette La Fontaine; and his nephews, Jeffrey Ladner, David "Davey" Pacek Jr. and Michael Pacek, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Theda La Fontaine; his sons, Mark La Fontaine (Jep) and Chris La Fontaine (Raymond); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth La Fontaine, Christian La Fontaine and Emily La Fontaine. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Pass Christian Volunteer Fire Department.
