He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Shoemaker and Bertie Shoemaker; his siblings, Betty Guthrie, James Shoemaker and George Shoemaker; and his stepson Jerred Necaise.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Necaise Shoemaker; his daughter Kim Jarreau (Corey); his stepsons, Stephen Necaise and Jamie Necaise (Michelle); his grandson Adam McGraw; and his sisters, Charlotte Scarborough (Charles) and Dianne Davis (Billy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
