He was predeceased by: his parents, Curley Ausmer and Mildred Ausmer; his guardians, Roosevelt and Nettie Malley; and his son Alton James Ausmer.
He is survived by: his wife Albertene Ausmer; his brother Eldon L. Ausmer; his siblings-in-law, LaVerne Ausmer of Gulfport, Clinton Jacobs (Carmen) of Delisle and Raymond Dedeaux (Janice) of Gulfport; his children, Anthony Ausmer Jr., Alwin Ausmer (Lauren), Antionette Ausmer of Delisle, Andrea Maurice (Gary) of Delisle and Alicia Spencer (Robert) of Delisle; and his godchild Beverly Williams. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church (9062 Kiln Delisle Rd, Pass Christian, MS 39571).
