He is survived by: his wife Linda Segrest Tyson of Pascagoula, MS; his children, Sabrina Kaye Gager (Buddy) of Moss Point, MS and Robert Dale Tyson Jr. (Melinda) of Gautier, MS; his siblings, Sarah Lavinia Davis (Dave), William Donald Tyson and David Rex Tyson; his sister-in-law Peggy Tyson; his grandchildren, Breanna Nicole Brown, Caitlyn Danielle Tyson, Maria Kaye Murray (Richard), Carly, Alexis Tyson (Vontae), Emily Ann Gager, Evan Lee Gager and Kyle Preston Gager; his great grandchildren, Kirra Bailey Brown, Lakyn Elizabeth Hiers, Georgia Alexis Hiers, Lainey Kaye Murray, Truhen Matthew and Paisley Varner; and his grandson Ellis Tyson Hodges. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
