It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Schaefer of Pascagoula, Mississippi, born in Belleville, Illinois, who passed away on March 16, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mothers, Martha Schaefer and Opal Campbell; and his son Daniel Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Sara Schaefer; his children, Gina Dressler (Anthony) of Tampa, Florida, Scott Byrd of Louisiana, Mark Schaefer of Tampa, Florida, Dean Byrd (Michelle) of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Teressa Mercer (Brian) of Hurley, Mississippi and Eric Schaefer of Springfield, Ohio; and his siblings, Gary Schaefer (Betty) of Athens, Georgia and Debbie Mitchell (Keith) of Shalimar, Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
