It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Ann Helm Coker of Pascagoula, Mississippi, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. P. Helm and Sybil Folse Helm; and her husband Edward W. Coker, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Mary Leigh Nabors (Burt), Natalie Smith (Mike) and Stanley Coker; her grandchildren, Burton, Mary Claire, Ann Lee, Audrey Nabors, Max, Campbell Smith, Christian and Alex Coker; and her sisters-in-law, Jaime Freeman (Ray) and Joyce Wilkerson (Sammy). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB for brain cancer research, Sacred Heart Church or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
