She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Thomas; her parents, Fritz Whitfield and Louvenia Bounds Whitfield; and her siblings, Tommy Whitfield of Leroy Whitfield, L. D, Robert Whitfield, Leola Spiers, Lena Mae Mitchell Ferguson, Norma Joyce Tulk and Evelyn Marie Whitfield.
She is survived by: her children, Barry Thomas (Gail) and Jackie Ingram; her brothers, Shane Whitfield (Pat), David Whitfield (Bonnie) and Donovan Whitfield (Carolyn); and her grandchildren, Melanie Honeycutt, Monica Nunez, Jaime Watson, Barry Everett Thomas, Fiona Travassos, Margie James, Malinda Ingram and Joseph Ingram. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
