It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Thornton (Pascagoula, Mississippi), born in Carthage, Mississippi, who passed away on September 18, 2019, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter M. Thornton and Doris Pepe Thornton; and his brother Walter "Waldo" Thornton, Jr. (Suzanne Walker). He is survived by: his aunts, Norma Thornton of Gautier and Christine Fun of Arkansas; his sister-in-law Sherri Hodges Thornton of Pascagoula; his cousins, Eddie Thornton, Glenda Chappell, Judy Caston, Sandy Duncan, Charlotte Copeland, Becky Beckham, David Thornton, Gary Thornton and Mitchell Thornton; and his pet Danny.
