He was predeceased by : his parents, Scott Lyles and Marie Yankie Lyles; late wife Mary Virginia Vincent Lyles and his brother Billy Scott Lyles. He is survived by his wife Mary R. Lyles; his children, Leslie Anderson (Wayne) of Cape Coral, John A Lyles Jr. (Ann) of Vancleave, MS, Amelia Gibson (Sambo) of Lucedale, MS, Maureen Williams (Mike) of Graham, NC and Leonard Scott Lyles (Denise) of Pascagoula, MS; his brother Ed Lyles of Franklinton, LA; and his step-children, Kathy Terry of Biloxi, MS, Jerry Terry Jr. (Melissa) of Laurel, MS and Thomas Neal Terry (Regina) of Brandon, MS. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
