With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Estelle DeForrest of Pascagoula, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alley Walker and Stella Walker; her husband Jack L. DeForrest; her son Steven DeForrest; her brother Alfred Hap'Walker; and her daughter-in-law Kim DeForrest.
She is survived by: her children, Linda E. Marshall (Greg) of Hurley, Jackie E. Skelton (Kevin) of Pascagoula, Jerry J. DeForrest of Brandon, Helen Fortenberry of Ocean Springs, Patty M. Dale of Pascagoula and David H. DeForrest (Gloria) of San Diego, CA; and her daughter-in-law Ronda DeForrest of Pascagoula. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
