It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Gunter of Pascagoula, Mississippi, born in Laurel, Mississippi, who passed away on November 8, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Gunter and Laura Gunter; his wife Mary; his daughter Brenda Joyce Gunter; his grandson Jarrod Wasson; his great grandchildren, Jim Wasson and Jack Cabrera; and his siblings, Annie Faye DeAngelo, MD, Avis Baxter, L. Nathan Gunter, Lily Anderson, Mae James and Elbert Gunter.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Gunter (Becky) of Gautier, MS, Rebecca Ryan (Burt) of Vicksburg, MS and Judy Gunter of Vicksburg, MS; his grandchildren, Kelly Christian, Kim Watson (Herman), Wayne Wasson (Shannon), Ryan Fletcher (Shannon), Jan Cabrera (Moi), Angela Gunter and Bo Gunter (Brandi); his great grandchildren, Analise Bryan, Jake Wasson, Jordan Watson, Garrett Watson, Dylan Wasson, Walker Wasson, Kimberlynn Christian, Durand Christian, Breanna Miller, Taylor Brewster, Gunter Starr, Miley Gunter, Addison Gunter, Luka Jude Cabrera, RJ Fletcher, Luke Fletcher and JJ Fletcher; and his great great grandchildren, Enic, Elijah, Emma Kate, Brody, Brynlee, Jaislyn and Aubrey.
