He was predeceased by: his parents, Juanita Bowman and John Bowman; his brother John "Johnny" Bowman Jr.; and his daughter Darlene Bowman-Hockkenberry. He is survived by: his wife Helen Swartzfager; his children, James Bowman, Lisa Bowman, David Bowman (Michelle) and Brian Bowman (Misty); and his siblings, Dennis Bowman, Donald Bowman and Frances Bowman-Byrd. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
