She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald Purdy; her parents, Arnold V. Walker and Genevieve Broussard Walker; and her brother Dickie Walker. She is survived by: her sister Kathy Hanning; her children, Stefanie Ferrell (Allen), Bruce Small (Robin), Beth Simer (Hal), Susan Russell (Eddie) and Kathy Keech (David); her stepchildren, Cindy Canady (Randy), Ginger Christian (Kenny), Gill Purdy (Blanche) and Toni Lindgren (John); and her brother Arnold "Skippy" Walker. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to the Mississippi Maritime Museum, 609 Dupont Avenue, Pascagoula, MS.
