He was predeceased by: his father William Warren "Buddy" Adams; and his grandparents, Donice, Carolyn Fairley, Richard, Cleo Adams, Tommy and Elizabeth Harris.

He is survived by: his mother Janis Adams; his close friend Carter Taylor; his son Tyler Shields (Taylor); his grandson Lincoln Shields; his stepfather William Bond (Billy); his siblings, Jeff Adams (Christine), Eddie Bond (Kim), Sherry Reynolds, Teresa Mines (Cliff), Nina Adams, Brandy Mallette (Chris) and Kristy Pierce (Caroline Driver); and also Janis Fairley Adams Bond. He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and many many cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St, Jude in Bobie's honor.
