We are sad to announce that on January 26, 2024, at the age of 91, Dorothy Marie Careno Brister of Pascagoula, Mississippi, born in Cicero, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James O Brister; her parents, Emanuel Careno and Ethel Careno; her brother Charles Careno Sr. (Vivian); and her daughter-in-law Rebecca "Becky" Brister.

She is survived by: her children, Sandra Phillips (Ronnie "Stickman") and James "Randy" Brister; her grandchildren, Kristen Phillips, Jamie Rogers (Brett) and Wesley Hall (Holly); her great grandchildren, McKnzie Ladner, Marli Abbey, Corbin, Grayson and Braxton Hall; and her friend Bobby Barlow (Charlotte Adcock). She is also survived by niece, along and with numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made to St. Jude Hospital.
