He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Odom and Addierene Odom; his wife Shirley Ann Odom; and his brothers, William, Benjamin, Frank and Doyle Odom.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Odom (Mari) and Lisa Chavez (Michael); his sisters, Patricia Ann Bosarge and Gloria Faye Sauk; and his grandchildren, Zoe Odom, Stephanie Purcell (Stephen), Christie Jones (Kyle) and Michael Chavez (Brittney). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and 2 great -great-grandchildren.
