We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2020, at the age of 84, Betty Jean Byars (Pascagoula, Mississippi), born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James H. Huggins and Esther Pace Huggins. She is survived by: her husband George Mitchell Byars; her sister Bobbie Voris; her children, Marcia Byars Willett and Stephen Mitchell Byars; her grandchildren, James Joseph Willett (Johni), Sean Mitchell Byars, Jordan Willett Haywood (Adam) and Sara Carmen Byars; and her great grandchildren, Marcus Tanner Sumrall, Emilia Jean Willett, George Everette Haywood and Juliet James Willett.
Flowers may be sent to Heritage Funeral Home and/or donations can be made in Betty's loving memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
