He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henderson and Reta Henderson; his daughter Carol Henderson; and his great grandchild William Henderson. He is survived by: his children, Michael Henderson (Kim) of Pascagoula, Regina Tonn (Jack) of Big Spring, Laurie Grady (Walter) of Lucedale, Sherrlyn Welch of Big Spring and Frances Henderson of Lucedale; his sisters, Barbara Poole (David) of Lucedale and Patsy Nolan (Lynn) of Spring City, TN.; his grandchildren, Nicole, Mallory, Charley, James, Jennifer, Kyle, John David, Kayla, Kassondra, Kisa, Karrie, Neilly, Matthew, Michael, Josh and Cayce; and also, Brent, Michael, Kyle, John David, Josh, Jared, Matthew and Cayce. He is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
