He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Staton and Norma Staton; and his wife Dr. Carolyn Ellis Staton. He is survived by: his sons, William "Will" Staton (Katrina) of Syracuse, NY, Thom Staton (Emma) of Asheville, NC and Michael Staton (Erin) of Pembroke, NH; his brother Walter Staton of Dallas, TX; and his granddaughter Sofia Staton Ballard.
