With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilbur R. Thompson of Oxford, Mississippi, who passed away on February 19, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Thompson and Collean Thompson; his children, Myra L. and Fredrick; his grandson John Arnil; his great grandchild John Arnil II; and his siblings, Buford, Eunice, Herron, Doris, George, Ervin and Rossie Lee.
He is survived by: his wife Dories; his children, Delores Barnes of Memphis, Margaret Gipson of Oxford, Mississippi, Sherryln Adams (John) of Oxford, Mississippi, Hugh Roger Thompson of Memphis and Wilfred Thompson (Sallie) of Oxford, Mississippi; and his sisters, Angelean Jones of Jackson and Burnette Thompson of St. Louis, Missouri. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 37great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren.
