He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Carl Brummett and William Elbert McCoy; his wife Loquita York McCoy; his siblings, Geneva Maples, Wilma McCoy, Bettye McCoy, Garland McCoy, James McCoy and Johnny McCoy; and his stepson Ronald Edward Pierce.
He is survived by: his children, Dana G. Dodd (Steve) of Olive Branch, MS, Tammy McCoy Cox (Bubba) of Olive Branch, MS, Sandra Pierce (Wayne) of Lake Cormorant, MS, Randall Carl McCoy (Travon) of Memphis, TN and Gary Todd McCoy Fleming (Barbara) of Springfield, MI.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shiloh Baptist Church (31 Co Rd 429, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
