She is survived by: her children, Leon Thompson of Oxford, MS, Lewis Thompson of Oxford, MS, Roy Thompson (Terri) of Oxford, MS, Linda Fox (Charles) of Oxford, MS, Alisa Thompson of Oxford, MS, Barbara Thompson of Oxford, MS, Kristie Thompson of Oxford, MS, James Nelson Thompson of Arlington, TX, Neal Thompson (Linda) of Abbeville, MS, Marcus Thompson of Southaven, MS, Earlene Thompson of Bartlett, TN, Vickey Thompson of Fayetteville, GA and Tammie Hairston (Chris) of Taylor, MS; and her brother James "Jake" Hewlett of Oxford, MS. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.
