It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stella Faye Harwell (Oxford, Mississippi), who passed away on June 3, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hansford Sandefer and Bessie Upchurch Sandefer; her husband Hulon Harwell; her son Dow Harwell; her siblings, Pearl James, Laverne Baggett, Ruby Sandefer, Edgar Sandefer, Nick Sandefer, Harvey Sandefer, Arnie Sandefer and Austin Sandefer; and her granddaughter Randi Rose Bishop Sproles.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa H. Bishop of Baton Rouge, LA, Mary Evelyn Stevens of Oxford, MS, Lawanda Ann Knighton (Lawrence Charles) of Oxford, MS, Jerry Harwell of Oxford, MS and David Edward Harwell of Oxford, MS. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
