We are sad to announce that on April 29, 2024, at the age of 99, Solatus Sartin Smith of Oxford, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jane Vaughn of Missouri and Henry Alton Sartin; her husband Riley Albert Smith, Sr.; her children, Jane Smith Carwyle and Richard Alton Smith; and her grandson Jay Mayfield.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Smith Mayfield (Jim) of Etta, MS, Sylvia Smith Zebrowski and Riley Albert Smith, Jr. (Wara); and her grandchildren, Jeff Thomas (Lisa), David Carwyle (Jill), Jody Mayfield (Margie), Jennifer Arbuckle (Tony), Jeremy Carwyle (Sandra), Janna Moorhead (Kim), James Carwyle, Brad Babb (Dezra) and Keith Babb. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
