She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Fay Capin (Dick) and Mary "Jeanne" Seitz Capin; her former husband David Matas; and her daughter Jennifer Matas (Donald Harrell). She is survived by: her children, Gregory Matas (Krista Matas), Richard Matas (Elizabeth Matas), Stephanie Matas Murphree (Justin Murphree), Ronney Harrell (Kelly Harrell) and Donna Harrell; and her brothers, Gregg Capin and Mark Capin. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
