It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Eugene Wells (Oxford, Mississippi), who passed away on May 22, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Polk Wells and Mabrey Reeves Wells Sanders; his stepson Kenneth Berry Stiverson; and his stepsisters, Mary Brewer and Annie Ruth Denham.
He is survived by: his wife Deidre "DeeDee" Weaver of Oxford, MS; his children, Donna Wells Sullivan (Steve) of Water Valley, MS, Eugenia Bassillio (Andy) of Water Valley, MS, Russell Wells (Darlene) of Water Valley, MS and Chris Wells of Oxford, MS; his grandchildren, Joshua Birmingham, Noah Sullivan, Joshua Sullivan, Kara Howe, Chance Gartner, Mason Wells and Embry Jade Wells; his stepdaughters, Pamela Stiverson of Columbia, TN and Michelle Stiverson of Port Richey, FL; his sisters, Mary Beard of New Albany, MS, Barbara Graham of Columbus, MS and Dorothy White of Oxford, MS; and his stepbrother Tommy Watson of Oxford, MS.. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
