He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise McAlister and Leroy Garrett; his brother Mack Garrett; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Wardlow and Eugene Dowdy.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen Garrett of Oxford, MS; his daughters, Amy Lynn Young (Jonathan) of Tunica, MS and Beth Chandler (Asa) of Oxford, MS; his sisters, Janie Wardlow of Memphis, TN, Rose Dowdy of Etta, MS, Patricia Garrett of Huntsville, AL and Mary Ann Johnson of Huntsville, AL; his sister-in-law Brenda Garrett of Corinth, MS; and his grandchildren, Garrett Keaton Young, Hayden Michael Young and Ava Grace Chandler.
