With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Calvi Brister of Oxford, Mississippi, who passed away on September 1, 2023 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Betty Lee and Felix Calvi; and her son-in-law Ricky Bates. She is survived by: her husband Fred Brister III of Oxford, MS; her daughter Dee Anne Bates of Byhalia, MS; her stepchildren, Fred Brister IV (Jen) of Little Rock, AR and Lea May (Christopher) of Little Rock, AR; and her siblings, Christina Zachary (James) of Cordova, TN and Felix "Butch" Calvi, Jr. (Suzanne) of Lakeland, TN. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
