It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Penny Fortner of Oxford, Mississippi, born in Bruce, Mississippi, who passed away on July 15, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father L. D. Tidwell. She is survived by: her husband Mike Fortner of Pontotoc, Mississippi; her mother Faye Tidwell of Oxford; her daughter Laurie Spooner (Jeffery) of Pontotoc; her grandson Joshua Potts of Pontotoc; and her siblings, Wanda Bishop (Charles) of Oxford, Nancy Tidwell of Illinois and Tim Tidwell (Barbara) of Grenada, Mississippi. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
