She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland Kellum and Lucy King Kellum; her husband Fred Carter, Jr.; her siblings, Louise Carter and Leland Kellum, Jr.; and her great grandchild Caleb Nunnery.
She is survived by: her daughters, Leah Smith (David) of Coldwater, MS and Deena Coleman of Hernando, MS; her stepson Steven Carter of Louisiana; her grandchildren, Ashley Fuson (Anthony) of Vicksburg, MS, Dennis Ruby of Nesbit, MS and Austin Ruby of Terry, MS; her great grandchildren, Aubrey Ruby, Avery Fuson, Rebecca Love (Brian), Reese Ruby and Riley Ruby; and her sisters, Katherine Huckaby of Oxford and Dorothy Jean Godwin of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
