He was predeceased by: his parents, David Downs and Maggie Self Downs; and his wife Dianne Williams Downs. He is survived by: his son Mark Downs of Oxford, Mississippi; his grandchildren, Anne Elise Downs and Deacon Downs of Oxford, Mississippi.; and his siblings, Charles Downs, Jim Downs, Nellie Weir and Louise Gainey.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford (601 Commerce Pkwy, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
