She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John B. Newton and Patsy Lee Newton; her siblings, Ron Newton (Carolyn) and Pam Rogers (Angie Brotherton); her nephew Ron Newton Jr. (Haylee); and her niece Angela Pinchon. She was also cherished by many cousins and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to 9 Lives Cat Rescue in Oxford, MS.

“I knew Mykki as Mike at Johnson High School. He was always kind though I'm sure he was frustrated with my constant presence while he dated my best friend! 😄 Though i lost touch with Mike many years ago and never met Mykki, it's clear that Mykki was loved and respected by many.
