He is survived by: his wife Rener Shafer of Etta, MS; his children, Jeanie McAdory (James) of Louisville, MS, Sarah Nichole Grass (Cory) of Etta, MS, Jeremy Shafer (Randi) of Louisville, MS, Michael Shafer, Jr. of Tunica, MS and William Shafer of Blue Mountain, MS; and his sisters, Nancy White (Michael) of Tupelo, MS and Patricia Hall of Oxford, MS. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.
