He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Chandler and Clida Mae Chandler; and his brother Billy Carter Smith. He is survived by: his son-in-law Mason; his wife Jean Welch Chandler; his children, William Lawrence Chandler (Suzanne), Charles Lee Chandler (Lee) and Leslie Jean Chandler Rives (Mason); and his pet Biscuit. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
