He was predeceased by: his parents, Gideon Roye and Linda Hendrix Roye; and his brother Joseph Roye. He is survived by: his sister Christy Roye; his niece Leah Lockhart; his great-nephews, James and Josef Angel; and his close friend Cheryl Roye.
