Kitty Ann Cook Ellis Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kitty Ann Cook Ellis of Oxford, Mississippi, who passed away on June 3, 2020 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kitty Ann Cook Ellis to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Griffith and Annie Mae Brunson Cook; and her former husband William Lee Hodges. She is survived by: her children, Matthew Hodges (Melanie) of Greenwood and Carrie Long (Rhyine) of Oxford; her granddaughters, Vaida Juliette Hodges and Ann Frances Downing Long; her brother Virgil Cook, Jr. (William R. Ellis) of Oviedo, FL; her stepchildren, Heather Sellers (Rick), Alyssa Killebrew (Keath) and Scott Ellis; and her stepgrandchildren, Sarah, Jackson and Vivian. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew, as well as many beloved cousins.

Memorials may be given to Art in Action to provide curriculum, supplies, and training to schools across the nation with underfunded Art programs.
