He is survived by: his mother Jerlene Carter Pitts of Abbeville, MS; his siblings, Kelvin Carter of Abbeville, MS, Ketry Carter of Abbeville, MS, Terrance Carter (Amberly) of Oxford, MS, James Pegues of Oxford, MS, Kerry Carter of Oxford, MS, Travis Carter of Oxford, MS, Kinmarie Smith (Tyrone) of Holly Springs, MS, Sheretta Carter of Oxford, MS and Crystal Ramsey of Como, MS; his aunts and uncles, Bernice Lewis, Mary Campbell (Gerald), Belinda Carter, Gladys Austin, James Young (Ruby), Cleo Young, Larry Carter, Barry Carter, Herbert Carter and Robert Carter; his nephew Demerio Carter; and his close friends, Judy Johnson, Wanda Jones, Bettie Sisk, Torian Vaughn, Briana McIntosh, Tony Jones and Rodney Buford. He is also survived by two nieces, one great niece and three great nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the L. Hodges Funeral Service (721 Damascus Rd, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church (62 County Rd 106, Abbeville, MS 38601). A burial will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the same location.
