With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Kay Swayze Alford of Oxford, Mississippi, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Kay Swayze left this world on February 3, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Phyllis Finch Swayze and Thomas King Swayze; and her mother-in-law Mary Clifton Rhodes. She is survived by: her husband John Warner Alford, Jr.; her children, Swayze Alford (Melinda), John Alford (Michelle) and Phyllis Daniels (Darrell); her grandchildren, Lilli, Grace (Christian), Grant, Clayton, John Swayze, John Warner and Jude; her sisters, Martha Collins and Beth Harris (Mike); and her sister-in-law Susan Nichols (Buddy). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the West Hall at Waller Funeral Home (419 MS-6, Oxford, MS 38655). A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oxford Memorial Cemetery (420 N 16th St, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Waller Funeral Home & Cremation Services (419 MS-6, Oxford, MS 38655).
