He was predeceased by: his parents, Felipe Cardenas and Maria Clara Hernandez. He is survived by: his children, Marcela King (Eugene) of Boaz, Alabama, Luis Servando Regalado-Ortiz of Nashville, Tennessee and Jose Mauro Regalado-Ortiz of Oxford, Mississippi; his granddaughters, Elizabeth King, Isabella King and Alexandria King; and his siblings, Juana Regalado, Maria Claudia Regalado, Bertha Regalado, Francisco Regalado, Mauro Regalado and Jorge Regalado.

Instead of traditional flowers, the family has requested donations to Iglesia del Nazareno Eben-Ezer (253 Hwy 7 South Oxford, Mississippi 38655).
