We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2025, at the age of 71, Johnny Ray Pitts Sr. of Oxford, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlis Pitts and Minnie Estell Pitts; and his siblings, Janette Kinard, Lavern Gilmer and Charles Pitts.
He is survived by: his wife Susie Pitts of Oxford; his children, Peggie Wilson (George) of Oxford and Johnny Ray Pitts, Jr. of Oxford; his granddaughters, Sophie Pitts-Noonan (Caden) of Oxford, Gabriella Anne Wilson of Oxford and Alexandria Estell Wilson of Oxford; and his sister Lois Townsend of Drew, MS. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford (601 Commerce Pkwy, Oxford, MS 38655). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
