He is survived by: his children, Ashleigh Simpson (Earl) of Cordova, TN and Jonathan Sowell of Cordova, TN; his close friend Diane Patterson of Cordova, TN; his siblings, Shirley Taylor (Red) of Jacksonville, FL, Judy Sadler of Minnesota and Raymond Udell Sowell of Raleigh, NC; and his grandchildren, Phoenix Nichols and Pierce Nichols.
